The Channel Tunnel (nicknamed Chunnel) is a 50.5-kilometre rail tunnel beneath the English Channel at the Strait of Dover. It links Folkestone, Kent, in England, with Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais, near Calais in northern France

The "Chunnel" is the longest undersea tunnel in the world, running under water for about 38 km, with an average depth of 150 feet below the seabed.
