Theresa May is soon expected to make a statement outside No10, ahead of the no-confidence vote that will take place tonight between 6pm and 8pm.
The challenge to Mrs May's leadership comes after the required 48 letters calling for a contest were delivered (the equivalent of 15% of Tory Mps).
Now, a majority of 159 Conservative MPs would oust her as party leader as well as Prime Minister.
