Will the Greek government grant Greeks living abroad the right to vote in national elections?
It is thought that about 1,000,000 of them are eligible to vote but the decision is being delayed for many years.
Both Syriza and Nea Dimokratia have expressed their intentions to change the law.
It looks that now we are closer than ever as the government said that will make the necessary changes within the next 5 months.
There is a possibility, if everything is done by January 2019, Greeks that live in other countries of the world will be able to vote even on the European Parliament elections in May. Many experts, however, are expressing their doubts about this timeline as there isn't enough time to finalise all the details.
